Downtown Eastside Women's Centre
High levels of violence, homelessness, addictions and poverty characterize the Downtown Eastside community, and women and children are particularly vulnerable to exploitation, injustice and injury. Founded in 1978, DEWC is one of the few safe spaces within the Downtown Eastside exclusively for women and their children.
We provide practical support to over 300 women, children and seniors, every day. As well as providing a refuge and shelter from conditions of poverty and violence, the Centre provides basic necessities.

Ending Violence Association of BC (EVA)
EVA BC worked to coordinate and support the work of victim-serving and the other anti-violence programs in BC through the provision of issue-based consultation and analysis, resource development, training, research and education. Our work is guided by respect for different human dignity and quality. Our mandate its to provide support and training, undertake research, develop and distribute resource and tools, education the public and government bodies on the needs of victims of violence, develop and maintain standards for the provision of service and foster the development of cross -sectoral coordination and collaboration.

Family Maintenance Enforcement Program
The Family Maintenance Enforcement Program monitors and enforces maintenance orders and agreements (for either child support or spousal support). Many maintenance payments are paid on time and in full, but some people like having a third party FMEP involved to track the payments.

International Centre for Criminal Law Reform and Criminal Justice Policy
The International Centre's mission is to improve the quality of justice through reform of criminal law, policy, and practice. The Centre promotes democratic principles, the rule of law and respect for human rights in criminal law and the administration of criminal justice, domestically, regionally and globally. The primary role of the Centre is to provide advice, information, research and proposals for policy development and legislation. Since information and knowledge are primary, the Centre is actively involved in education and training. Where appropriate, the Centre also provides technical assistance to governments and other agencies.

Justice Education Society
Established in 1989 as the Law Courts Education Society, the Justice Education Society is dedicated to improving access to the justice system through hands-on, targeted, two-way education between the public and those working in the system. As a non-profit organization, we offer a unique and comprehensive collection of justice-related educational services and effectively work towards creating a justice system that is accessible to all. Our programs and resources serve the general public, youth, persons with disabilities, Aboriginals and immigrants in British Columbia, throughout Canada and around the world.

Ksan House Society
A unique social service agency in the community of Terrace since 1979. The Society operates on the principle that women and men are equal, and believing that the cycle of violence can be broken. Ksan Society educates the public and provides social programs, safe shelter, food and essentials to women and their children fleeing abuse and to women, men and families who are homeless or otherwise disadvantaged.

Legal Services Society
The Legal Services Society (LSS) provides legal aid in BC. Legal aid includes representation by a lawyer, legal advice, and legal information. LSS gives priority to people with low incomes, but many of its services are available to all British Columbians.
