Become a Change Maker - Join the Campaign
Violence against women has immediate and far reaching consequences on all spheres of a woman's life. It negatively affects her health, her self-esteem, her security and autonomy, her productivity, her social and political participation, and her personal development. It changes family dynamics and it harms her children.
Violence against women is on the rise in many communities in British Columbia and it must be stopped. The answer? Change attitudes to prevent violence before it starts.
What Can You Do
Begin with small actions.
- Join the We Can Campaign and pledge not to commit violence against women
- Talk to 5 people in your community about ending violence against women
- Share your name here as a Change Maker
- Donate to the campaign
Organizations
Ask an organization that you are involved with to become a partner or supporter of We Can and/or donate to the campaign. Your organizations endorsement communicates to others that violence against women is unacceptable and must be stopped. Your charitable gift goes directly to developing and maintaining campaign resources which are disseminated into the community, and organizing action-oriented events throughout BC.
